Chia-Hsin Liu is a writer-director based in Taipei, Taiwan. Over years, she made and produced several documentaries, short films which are a mixture of fictional and true stories. Her previous narrative short film Fan Fan (2015) was shown at numerous international film festivals including Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival (2015) and won the Best Film Award at Women Make Waves Film Festival (2016) and Best Audience Award at Berlin IntelFilm Festival (2016) as well as broadcasted on ARTE TV. 

Chia-Hsin is an alumna of the Cinéfondation Residence (Festival de Cannes), Locarno Film Academy and Talents Tokyo in 2018. She is developing her feature film projects and documentary films.

臺北人，從事影像編導與製作，遊走紀錄片和劇情片之間，其影像作品關注女性在當代社會，追求自我的渴望與衝突，作品多次在國內外影展放映，劇情短片 ‘凡凡’ 更獲的德國柏林Intelfilm短片影展觀眾票選獎，台灣女影影展最佳短片，並在歐洲最大藝術電影台Arte TV 放映。2018赴法國參加坎城電影節 Cinéfondation 寫作駐村計畫, 並獲得法國CNC -Special Mention Award，同年參加瑞士盧卡諾電影學院Locarno Film Academy，東京新稅營工作坊Talents Tokyo工作坊。 目前發展劇情影片與紀錄片等計畫。
